After School Reading Lessons

After school reading lessons are taught after school and can be scheduled with Ms. Ali. Each lesson is about 20 minutes long. (This is how long a child retains understanding and attention without losing interest at this age.)

Each lesson is based out of a reading book that will have your child reading at a second grade level in about 100 lessons. At the end of each lesson (if there is time remaining) there will be games and activities to practice the principles learned during the lesson.

Each lesson will be held one-on-one with Ms. Ali and there will never be other children around to distract and never will there be a lesson with two students and one teacher. Each individual learns differently therefore, each child will be taught as such.

Each child will progress differently. Some children will fly through the first 25 lessons with little to no difficulty while others need to practice more before moving on. Mastery is key.

Lessons will be held 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and are $30 for the whole month. If you miss a lesson, there will be no make-up lessons or refunds. Please plan to be in attendance for the lesson you sign up for. If you (the parent or legal guardian) wish to stay at my home while we do reading lessons you are welcome to sit in my living room and listen to the lesson.
